Sounds like a good product (read comments);
however, the big expense is in the labor to install!
With the way some Dealers are treating us and [possible]current tranny problems, we could really be fighting for warranty work!

Beware. Understand that it is not really a limited slip conversion, but is what is more commonly known as a "Detroit Locker"-type conversion. The $300 kit consists of more-or-less 2 hardened steel plates and 4 springs.
This page gives you a good idea of what they actually do:
http://www.detroit-locker.com/tractech.htm
If you haven't gathered from that page, they're mostly employed in off-roaded trucks. (If you search the Internet, you'll find that they're also employed by poor-man drag racers.)
Summarizing what they do, when both wheels are turning at the same exact rate (driving straight ahead, or drag racing from a stop), both wheels are driven. Otherwise, it only drives the slower-turning wheel (inside wheel in a turn), and the faster-turning wheel only freewheels. In effect this is of course the opposite of what Torsen-type diffs (Quaife, ITR, S2000, NSX, IS300, S4, Miata, etc.) try to do, which is to direct the power to the wheel that has the most grip to put that power to the ground. The only circumstance in which it drives the outside wheel in any sort of a turn (typically w/weight transfer, it's the one with the most grip) is when the inside wheel spins so much that the speeds of both wheels become the same. I don't think I'll be going out on much of a limb to say that spinning any drive wheels in the middle of cornering a FWD car is not a good thing.
Realistically in a CL-S, what will the "Detroit Locker" do for you?" Drag racing from a stop, instead of spinning one wheel, you'll spin both. This will possibly result in better 0-60 acceleration times. Cornering, you will only power the inside wheel, so powering out of a corner exit will actually suffer. I don't know if this version will do this, but some "Detriot Lockers" click in any sort of turn. But the CL-S is probably so well sound insulated this probably won't be an issue.
You can get a better idea of what they really do by doing our required reading in these threads:

Or better yet, search for "Phantom Grip" and "Detroit Locker" with a good search engine. The Internet is a wealth of knowledge at your fingertips.
