Looks Awesome !!!!

I’m assuming a custom “StreetEffects” logo will be going where the missing underside trunk liner should be ???

The trunk liner is removed for some "custom" applications being installed in it As for the spare, no, none in this car LOL. I'm sure we'll keep some fix-a-flat in there somewhere.

The two "cylinders" on the left side are 1.5 farad capacitors used for bass ennhancement.

Thanks all!

Thoughts:

*A+ for effort, A- for final product.

*Not too fond of the wires around the caps, can they be hidden behind it? Kinda detracts from the clean look of the rest of the components. That's my only gripe.

*Ernie if you get rear-ended, SE might have a heart attack!

*SE - let's see pics of the T-Shirts!

Oops, my bad....do you just mean 2 SUBS, or 2 interior speakers? Either way, yes, you can just add an amp and the speakers and keep the factory headunit.

Everything looks so nice...I love the install. I'm just still trying to figure out why you went with those pioneer subs....

The install is amazing though. You've definately motivated me to get rolling on my trunk.

Yo Ron...

How much would it cost me to put in a dvd player and a much better sounding stereo without filling up my trunk, and what would you suggest....

BTW I dont have a navi....

Any suggestions would be great... My price limit for everything would be around 2k.

Wow, I like that Soopa. I'd just be afraid of putting something in my trunk that might slide around and damage the sub cones.... can you really use your trunk at all?

you see how the rectangle around the subs is kinda sunk in? thats because i have a grill that fits in there.

i leave that in all the time for general use.

if im really gonna be using my trunk i have a carpeted molded panel that i can put down over the whole floor... so it looks stock.

yea, except for several inches in height i still have complete use of it. and i can still use the ski-pass

We went will ALL pioneer components except for the amps..... you all would be VERY SURPRISED from the sound quality of this system. You need to hear it before you judge it on the "brand" name. Lemme blindfold you and then listen to it.

Yep, I have another Massive amp for that other hole.

I'm putting Diamond Audio HEX series components in (the kevlar ones) and Diamond M5 6x9's.

then next step is to get some caps put in... ernie tells me theyll make a huge difference.

and the current amp is drawing so much power that once the additional one is in I think imma have some problems heh.

so you are stilling using the factory headunit? Do you think the sound quality would improve if I just get new amps and new speakers?

Yup, definately. Just get rid of everything that has BOSE on it (except for the HU even though it's not BOSE's, they still managed to slap BOSE on it).

Next years meet hopefully my ride will be done

If I go for that goal then my ride is only 40% done for what I want to do to it

I have to disagree with one thing posted here. When I put my IVA-C800 in the front my Bose speakers sounded great. In fact, 2 other people in the shop could not believe they were the BOSE speakers. They are under-powered. ANYONE on this board should first replace their head unit and then their speakers if they think they need better.

Weird... when I turn the volume up in my stock system, I can hear the speakers over-extending with the bass (and my Treble is set to center and Bass is +2 bars). I always have to turn it down a bit just from fear I'll break a speaker.

Although if you get to a part of a song where there's no bass or drum and you crank it, it definitely sounds nice and clear.

Well, how about I replaced them with cheap a$$ 49 buck Panasonic components, and another member notice the big difference without me telling him?
Come on Earnie, take a look at those speakers and tell me they are capable. If you give them enough power, they may sound better than they used to but they just cant compare with aftermarket, even the cheap ones.

No no, they can't even come CLOSE to comparing with aftermarket ones. But, with an aftermarket deck, you will improve the overall sound, just don't expect anything radical out of it....we are still only dealing with very thin paper cone speakers

would the sound quality improve if you just upgrade new speakers and an amp without getting the new deck?
