Engine problem?

After finishing a 160 mile trip I pulled the car (01 cls) up next to my apartment to unload my crap. after 10 mins I then started it up to move it and it sputtered out and stalled. I had trouble getting it started and it sounded pretty bad. Eventually after giving it some gas, i was able to keep the engine running and was able to park the car. I got up the next morning and started it up and it was fine although I didn't drive it anywhere. The car is out of warranty and i have already replaced the idle control valve. Does anyone have an idea what might have happened or what might be wrong? bad gas? fuel pump? Thanks in advance.

in way it sounds like maybe a loose sensor connector like what runs to your afm but i am unsure since i am pretty new to these cars. I just remember a while back when my buddies connector on the AFM i believe was loose it would barely idle and try to die out unless u gave it alot of gas.
