Engine Mounts, Stiffy, And Torque Damper Overkill?

I was curious to know if it would be overkill to buy new engine mounts made by XLR8 durometer 75A, Ingalls stiffy mount, and Nrg front + rear torque damper's. The car is going to be a street car with some bolt on's and spraying 125 shot max. I might bring it to the track once and awhile just to see what it does. I also might put a drag radial on it if it has huge traction problems. I rather be safe than sorry haha. But if that's way overkill there's no sense buying everything.

Not overkill.

If you put DRs on it though, what axles do you plan on going with?

Stock until they break lol? Not sure yet really I thought our axles were pretty strong?

Depends on what your like your daily ride to be. With all the stiffer mounts expect a hard ride with lots of vibrations. At least that was my experience with the innovative mounts.

Better to have that damn traction and some vibration than to not have traction at all. With stiffy and that mounts i dont think that nrg damper is necessary.

Nope.

Happened on a 1-2 shift on the street.

Ive got 94A poly filled mounts, NRG dampers front and rear, Stiffy damper, and coilovers and I still get a slight bit of wheel hop at times.

Theres a difference between wheel hop and wheel spin though.

Wheel hop breaks shit (axles, diff, etc.). Wheel spin wears down tires. Id rather wear down tires.

I have 85a innovative mounts no torque dampers and my motor doesn't budge. I track the car occasionally and mounts are still in perfect shape also vibrations are not to bad at all. these mounts are great going on about 4 months with them now.

was't that rust too though, with it compromising the strength of the shaft?

and 94a on stock mount is going to be completely different then 94/95 on a set of aftermarket mounts, with less "material" to it (so in reality your stock ones may only be acting like 60's or so, when compared to aftermarket mount options

spray is not always mandatory, very good traction, and a clutch that actually grabs, can potentially break an axle (i don't think it is about the sheer strength of the axle that matters to us at this point, but more of what type of shock loading can they take)

still alot more material there to absorb and flex, then with a smaller diameter aftermarket solution

Yeah honda never really made good axles in my opinion, even when I had my b-series CRX and my B series swap hatch I broke 2 sets of axles in each one, but I had motor pushing 265 n/a thoughtwas a beast but b series axles are like toothpicks.

I don't want to much vibration because its going to be my daily driver. I think I might just go with the mounts 75a and just the stiffy. As for the axles I guess they are weak. I spoke with a friend of mine and he recommended the driveshaft shop for axles. I would just want something that's better than stock. I'll decide what to do when the time comes.

Would you rather replace axles or diffs/transmissions? Honda designs axles to be competent for normal use but break before the other more expensive stuff when abused.

let alone alot faster and easier to replace at the same time too

btw even a clutch is designed to give out before a tranny, but is kinda a pain to replace compared to the axles, so i really rather be doing axles if something does break
