Damn I just read in Sport Compact Car that there are no plans to produce the Prelude anymore. I guess Honda will be focusing all their efforts on the RSX now?

2001 type SH was the last top of the line Prelude.

 

Yes the Prelude has been around for awhile now.
I had a brand new 1980 Prelude my 1st new car.
The Prelude came out in 1979 & in high school I wanted it bad.
I got a 1980 model after graduation it was 5speed ofcourse.
The car had no power brakes or steering 13inch wheels no power windows. It had the power sliding sunroof & radio was an option. The A/C was optional at a cost off $695.00 I got radio & A/C, R hand mirror with inside manual controls & rear mudflaps.
The car cost around $8,000 new & I drove it for 10yrs almost everyday. I kept it for 15yrs & it still had the original clutch.
This is what I learned to drive a stick shift on. Honda sure could build a car back then. They had the slogan we make them simple. The Prelude was better than most American small cars back then & many midsize models also.
