Eibach Pro Kit springs on Stock Shocks WORKS GREAT!!!
i just want to let the next guy kno that when I installed my new eibach pro kit springs on the stock shocks. i was hesistant, but it was the cheaper route. come to find out. the ride gives little bounce and really firm and still smoothe. it looks low, but not as low as you think. which is GREAAT! i am able to clear speed bumps, but i still go sideways. yafeelz?! and to install the rear springs you would need to take the whole back seat out. its pretty simple. the part that you sit on in the back, push it back towards the trunk, and push up, itll pop out. i love the look of the lowered Cl. oh and i have the 2001 acura cl type s. it just looks way more aggressive. i am awaiting some 19's. still debating on the brand. currently its sitting on 225/45/17. its some quantum tek wheels from a mitsubishi. it looks koo for now.

I agree on automatics, but any 6speeds should know this setup will not have an even stance, sits too high in the front. It was subtle, but enough to be annoying...which is why I now have adjustable coilovers. See my picture build thread in the Photograph gallery above for pictures of the raked stance I mentioned. Besides that, I loved the ride quality.

Shorter springs + stock struts won't last long. The stance looks good, but the 10+ year old shocks will inevitably go out sooner rather than later with the added stress of lowering the car.

not sure tbh, but this was reason enough for me to justify spending a little more for adjustable coilovers instead. I don't regret it a bit, except that I didn't do coils the first time around.

yeah I would probably go coils but up here I would need to keep the stock suspension and swap it back in for winter (coils never do well with all the salt and sludge). too big a pain...

I am in California, and it won't have winter problem. I am deciding either lowering springs or coils for my 6 speed CL. Do those adjustable coils need to consider the stock strut leak problem as lowering springs?
