Jet does, but you have to send in your ECM for them to change it.

No switchable ECMs as far as I know.

Will be waiting for that one.

Unfortunately the ecu is soldered in place. No chip swapping for us unless you replace the entire mother board.

Actually I thought that they soldered on a part onto the existing board, then placed the chip ontop of that so that the chips are switchable...

Yeah I remember that guy saying he lost power....I also remember there was a guy with an accord that lost a substantial amount of power too.

Always bro...

working on my church site

Am I right about the ECU from jet? About them adding a chip ontop of an adapter so that it could be taken out?

They never got a chip for our cl's huh scott?

heh, just finished moving my new desk into the office and hooking everything back up.

The way I understood it is that they flash your ecu.

Have you ever tried to unsolder a chip? Even if you could remove it successfully the chances aren't good that it would be operable. Not to mention the damage you'd do to the traces while unsoldering the chip. I didn't count the pins on our eeproms but there must be at least 100 solder joints.

ya, soldering is definately out of the question. But i don't think it would take much to reprogram the motherboard

heh, dumb kid! no they don't trick the chip they reprogram it.
No pics but the mother board is located on the passenger side kick panel. It's encased in a metal box.

Yeah...I guess desoldering would be a bitch eh.. Here is what jetchips had to say..

"The tuning can be delivered in the form of a chip that replaces the stock computer chip, a chip that piggy-backs the stock computer chip, a chip that plugs into the back of the stock computer, or a module that intercepts and modifies the signals from the stock computer with JET Performance Power Tuning."

So I guess is just matters what our cars need. all of us are right!!
