ecu and immobilizer question

ok real quick...does anyone know if the signal sent from the imobilizer to the ecu is the same between all ecu's...I know that there's a hand brake code for all the cars tht is different for all the cars/imobilizers...but the signal sent by the immobilizer is that standard...

I just dealt with tripping my immobilizer the other day, and it blew the fuse to the fuel pump, but I have no idea about the signaling.
Are you just curious or having an issue with the car ?
