Eclipse Spyder

I just sold my '03 4dr accord V6 and purchased a '03 Eclipse Spyder GTS. I still have the '03 CL-S. Question, does anyone know if a forum exist for the Spyder?

Thanks for your help.

Why'd you go from a 4 door family sedan to a 2dr vert?

1. With just my wife and myself no need for the four door. The CL has plenty of room. We have never had a passenger in the back seat of either car.

2. Honda does not make a convt with an automatic, so Spyder is it.

3. See 1.

The Accord V6 is a great car but the roof does not go down. It's the only reason for selling it. The Spyder is the only convt under $30,000 that has a automatic.

Chevy Cavalier Vert

Congrats on you new purchase. Just makes me sad to think someone will see this brand new honda sitting on a mitsu lot wondering what was so bad with it they just had to trade it in right away.

Just make sure you drive the eclipse fast and hard when you get the chance.

Off the top of my head I can think of the Ford Rustang and the Chrysler Sebring. Two of my favorite POS rental cars.

Of course I'd pick the Eclipse too if those were my choices!

I had a Sebring prior to the CL-s which was OK - at least my tranny didnt go - But for a vert under $30k - the eclipse is a good choice

Sold the Honda to Dick Hannah in Vancouver, WA. This is a huge dealership. His Honda store has my Accord. As far as Mustang, please. I road tested a GT. The top would not line up so the salesman had to pull it to the left while I pushed the button to lower it into place. This car had 7 miles on the speedo. I ran from the FORD store. The Chrysler was not given any consideration. The sunroof slides back the convert goes down. This is a fun car to drive. Acura should make the CL a convert, they would sell a ton of them.

I was kidding, sort of. I wouldn't buy a Ford or Chrysler product either (with a few extraordinary exceptions). I think the CL would look weird in a 'vert. I think that most of us agree that the S2000 should have been marketed under Acura, but it doesn't really matter...and I know, it's more then $30K.

Go here: www.eclipseforums.org

That is the best 3rd Generation Eclipse site out there, HUGE. There is not a specific Spyder forum, although members have asked for one going on 3 years now. Do NOT ask for one, or you will be flamed excessively!

Good luck!

You seriously like the new body style?.... just my opinion.. but ewwwww.... Cheesy to the extreme..

I test drove the 02 awhile back and the passenger side air bag color on the dash was an off color and did not match the rest of the dash.. Looked stupid... Also I felt like I was in a space ship with those door handles and gauge pods... They still push 200 Hp at the wheels? Did they change all that up for 03?.. I did not see one as of yet.

The GTS manages to squeeze 215hp, which is decent. However, I got rid of my 01 Eclipse due to the many problems and horrible Mitsubishi customer service. Also, the market is so saturated with these cars right now, that I have been unable to sell mine for below KBB for 2 months!

Guys, my CL-S is still going strong. The Spyder will keep my wife happy. She is not going racing and does not care about anything except that the car is a ragtop with an automatic. This week in Portland, OR, the temp will be in the 80s and the sun will be shining. The top will be down and the wife will be happy.
