EBC Brake Rotors & Pads
EBC Brake Rotors & Pads
So I need to do a brake job when I take my whip out of hibernation. I would love to go with a BBK, but I don't wanna dish out the $dough$ at the moment and the wheels I am lookin' at buying will not clear a BBK. Thus, I am lookin' at going with EBC front/rear drilled & slotted gold anodized-zinc coating sport rotors (http://www.autoanything.com/brakes/6...0A3050724.aspx) and EBC red stuff front/rear brakes pads (http://www.autoanything.com/brakes/6...0A3050724.aspx).
What do you guys think? Is this a good set-up? What else would you guys recommend? Thanks in advance!

EBC reds are really good pads, dust a lot but are really good.
EBC rotors are good.. I got DBA front and ebc rear... honestly... the rears ended up warping even still with high performance pads ... they are just too small.. but they've held up well all things considered.. they've bent as much as they can.. u can feel it a BIT when slowing down slowly, but what can u doo i guess

The reds were the best pad I have used for sheer stopping power, but that was on a 3100 lbs car. not a 3500lbs cls. For my CLS I went with the Yellowstuff. Great pad also but much less dust than the reds. The cls is just not a great stopping car, so it is hard to say weather the Yellow or Red will be better. I think they both will work very well, its just that the yellow will dust a bit less.
Check this brand out. I've been dying to try them. Call them, and tell them what your driving needs are and they will get you into a great pad.
