If you can see the car before you bid that would be best. I have sold 4 cars on ebay, & didn't have a problem. No one came to look at them first either. I also bought a truck sight unseen. As long as the seller has alot of good feedback, & the carfax checks out chances are you will be ok. However with all things it's a coin toss. Also carfax does kinda suck, I only use it to check miles. Also don't expect teh car to be near new, or showroom. Even if it says it. It is a used car. It will have some wear. You cannot be so picky as to not take a car cause it has a door ding that wasn't listed, small paint chip on the front end, or wrinkles in the leather.

On a big ticket item, never ever send the money. Make sure you touch base with the seller first and state your terms. At the end of the auction, you get to take the car to have it checked before you buy it. If the car is solid and he is a good seller, he will have no problem with that.

I did that for a friend who bought a SL500. She took the car to MB and they looked it over before she handed over the money....

Also did a CARFAX, of course.
