Besides LACR, is there a closer 1/4 mile track in the LA area?

So I see you got the harness and everything is working correctly!! I am glad to hear that!!

You may still have a little power to gain. You have some decent retarding of timing occuring and should be on the rich side. That is meant to play it safe but the individual is welcome to adjust the tuning to suit their needs/desires.

Just FYI, I have no retard in mine and there is no knock present at all. But I do run some decent 93 octane at a minimum. If you have access to this or higher, try it and set all of the iginition adjustment values to 0.

It kept coming on, so I turned it off. zero to 80mph comes up really fast!!!
I just wish we had a higher octane fuel out here in CA.
When I first ran the can I heard a little knock at vtec engagement, but just 2 times, did the car pull timing??

Possible Hope systems project,....

VSA reverse module - VSA is off until turned on

and/or,... VSA Delete Module - Modular plug used to plug into factory harness when VSA throttle body is removed.

How about a tap off the starter ckt to a relay that momentarily jumps power to the VSA switch during cranking? I guess it all depends when the vsa ckt is active though .

I agree, removing the VSA throttle body would actually cause less of a restriction to air flow. Maybe more low end torque.

I'm gonna try to get a sound clip of the bypass valve opening up when I let off the gas at full throttle, revs all the way up. I guess it almost sounds like a blow off valve? I have some pics, but I don't know how to post all this stuff. I'll have it done for tommorow if anyone can help out ?

Way to go Chemmech and Scalbert!!! I can't wait to get mine installed. After that Steve your harness will reach from coast to coast.

It will be real nice Chemmech when you and I can post some times and dynos to see how our cars compare. I know that there might be some differences because of the Cal. gas but with high octane fuel it should be very interesting. Once again congratulations and keep us posted as to the results and performance.

Both of the installed kits used the vertical tank. I'm the only one with horizontal.

I forgot to take pictures of Jorge's. We were trying to get it done quickly to get him back on the road. Not to mention Ivan was pouring down on us at the time. Regardless of being in my garage, we were still getting wet. I wished I had snapped a few though.

We installed it up against the jack door to the right side of the trunk. It was kept pretty well out of the way there and was easy to access. We were also able to use the existing cout outs below the spare (and kept the spare) for hose routing.

I could probably ship you the plumbing items early so that you can take your time and figure out the best way that suits your needs. The IC its self is one of the easier parts to install.

hey I am a pretty laid back guy, whatever works is fine for me.

I would like to keep the spare in place...

Some installed pics would help me.

BTW: I got my harness yesterday and it made a world of difference. I did 2 back to back runs still the check engine light flashing. If my boost gauge is right it hit 10 lbs. of boost for about 400-500 RPMs in the 6000-7000 range. This is boarder line scary!!! Neither I nor Steve anticipated that much boost. It felt good for the moment. At this point it is certainly at the tuning stage to say the least.

Hey Smitty, I wanted to use my spare too. Here's what I ended up doing in the trunk. I routed the hoses through existing holes on the drivers side of the trunk, using bulkheads that were in the kit. As for the reservoir, I removed that tray thing on the drivers side of the trunk, this provides a nice little niche for it to settle into. I ended up mounting the pump and relay behind the material on the side of the trunk.
Finally, I wired a relay that uses the power wire from the fuel pump to close the contacts providing battery power to the IC pump. With alittle manuevering of the reservoir I can still acces the spare tire.

SCTL-SS, the E-manage makes a world of difference doesn't it ?

Mine on the other hand is on the oppisite side of the trunk right over the tire jack tools.
