E-brake conversion
I was wondering if it would be possible to convert the parking brake from a CL-S auto (pedal) to the e-brake "handle" like the 6-speeds. I would like that a lot more, and think it would look better to. What parts would be required and how much trouble would it be?
Actually the hand brake just sucks on this car. Always comes loose. It's not tight like in other cars. Keep your pedal.
But you would need to convert the center console to a 6MT one, & reroute the parking brake cables as well as get the brackets for the cables that go under the console.

good info. I was wondering about this too for looks and functionality. I've driven off forgetting the parking break was on many times...prolly doesn't even work anymore! That is such a stupid design for a sports car....stick or a/t
I remember reading over on the TL side of the forum , it came up in discussing the 6 speed swap of the 2nd gen, but frankly I would save the money and invest in lowering your car CL-Slick!

It needs to be adjusted & tightened. Instructions are in the FAQ.
However it needs constant adjusting to keep it tight. I have to adjust mine at least every 6 months. For some reason it just comes loose again.

I was going to do this swap too, but then i took it all apart, and on the automatics the tunnel where the e-brake hold down bolts go you need to drill it out the welded over hole and get a bold thread in there.
Then swap all the garnishes over and get athe 6 speed seat heater swiches amoung other things
any ways i wish i had it sometimes but i like the auto cuphoder better anyway
summer project mabey....

the tunnel is the hardest part
and im not sure why but the L/R cables are diffrent part numbers, auto from manual
not sure but i looks like you can use the auto ones....
