Did anyone see or get the performance chip that is selling on ebay for about $30. It is an actual acura computer chip with 2 wires coming out of it. Says it helps A/F Ratio and bumps timing. I'm not talking about the stupid ass RESISTOR mod that is being sold. But I was wondering if anyone knows if this works or is just another scam.

The ebay listing is 5755593939. This guy says he is a student at NC State and says this was a school project. I dont know what to make of it. I mean i'm no fool when it comes to car performance. I just sold my 11 sec 1990 Eagle Talon AWD. Just purchased a 02 CL and am looking to mod it a little. This seems to me like it could be just like the RESISTOR MOD the ripping people off for.

 

I'd be a bit suspicious if most people haven't heard of it and it's just listed on ebay...

i saw that chip and feedback from a buyer a while back , they were very pissed, leave it alone or email the buyers and ask them for info about it,

and be careful what u connect to ya ECU. if in doubt use this site to ask around or open a forum thread

I never said I was gonna buy it I just wanted to know if it was the same thing as the resistor mod. im sure everyone knows u cant get 20 hp for $30. Thought maybe you guys actually knew what it did.
