Dyno in 3rd, or 4th on a 6 Speed?

Dyno in 3rd, or 4th on a 6 Speed?
Getting my stock 6 speed dyno'd Monday. Should it be in 3rd, or 4th? The shop said 4th. Want to make sure.

Look in the owners manaual and find which gear is closest to (or is) 1:1 ratio. It'll be that gear.

Yep, on the 6spd it's 4th gear (3rd gear is for the auto).

Here's the ratios for the 6spd:

1st 3.933
2nd 2.478
3rd 1.700
4th 1.250
5th 0.976
6th 0.771

This makes no sense. Even if the gear ratio was 1:1, you still have 3.286 (If i remember correctly) gear to go through. So what is the big advantage?

lol I dynoed mine in both 3 and 4 and there was more power in 3rd... in fourth the power dropped a bit ... alos did a 3rd to fourth run ... definitaly more power in 3rd... for what it is worth
