Dynamat placment?

I have 1 4sq ft roll of Dynamat. I tried to sell it on ebay, but no one took. I think I'll just use it on the CL-S. Where can I put such a little amount where it would make the most different in reducing noise, or vibration of the stereo. I was thinking the top of the trunk lid, or under the back seats. Any ideas?

FYI:

Dynamat is heavy. Putting it on your trunk might result in your trunk bopin' you on the head often. And with our spoilers, our trunk springs aren't strong enough as they are.

Also, I had issues with Dynamat (regular version) sticking. It was also very stiff and not too flexible.

I had good luck with Accumat (by Scoche(sp?)), but that shit was a PAIN IN THE @R$E to take off.

I would try on the rear deck. Around the 6x9s.

Also...
While you are back there ... you have a spoiler. So remove the 3rd brake light from the rear deck. That thing rattles like a mo-fo. Fill in the space with some black plastic.

I Dynamated my complete trunk including the lid. I havn't had a problem with it coming down on me.

Hey Spiroh, you still haven't e-mailed those pics of your dyn install yet. Did you get my last two PM's?

Really?

I tried to dynamt my Accord a few years back and it just wouldn't stick worth shit. The Accumat worked great- flexible and lighter weight than the Dynamat. And even that caused my trunk to not hold up to the springs and come crashin' on my head.

When installing dynomat: You should clean the area throughly and use a heat gun with a roller to apply it....
It takes some time to do but definatly a must with a system.

Do the trunk lid and the rear quater panels. You can do the door skins too. The rear back deck helps out alot too.

I used some special truck lid Dynamat for that part.

Cascade everywhere!

For the third brake light. Find a big sponge or piece of foam. Try hobby shops/craft stores. Cut it into a wedge shape, like the light. If you can't find black, spary paint it. Make sure the foam/paint can take the summer heat. Don't use anything hard, like plastic, that will rattle. I have tint over my entire window, making it harder to notice.

You could also use limo tint over the brake light area.

I only had 4 sq feet. It wasn't alot. I has just enough to cover the trunk lid. It was easy. I had the roller, & I have used this stuff before so I know what I was doing. The trunk lid stays in place fine. I already had the upgraded springs from the spolier. The spolier doesn't seem to rattle now.
