Dynamat is a pain in the ass...

I worked on it tonight for 3 hours with a couple of my buddies and we've only finished 2/3 of the trunk. It is completely gutted out and makes me cringe at the horrific sight.

More to do tomorrow... finish the trunk, take out the backseat and the door panels. It's gonna be a long day, and I ain't gonna make it to my class. :o :o

just one layer all around... i don't want to weigh the car down too much... I'm not really hardcore about it, rather just want to get rid of rattles when the subs hit.

I did my whole Explorer, and helped a friend do his whole Suburban .. it wasn't that difficult, just heat and stick .. and roll it out smooth.

I bought some foam weather stripping at lowes. It's sticky on one side and not the other. Been fixing some rattles with the center console bucket, sunroof, Neo in the sunglass holder, etc with it. Comes in like black, gray, white, etc.

which level of dynamat are you using? I found the original to be a real pain but extreme goes in nice and easy

I did my car firewall to trunk, including both door skins in about 8 hours. Totally worth it though. Its not hard work, just laborious. Get a 2 liter of Mt. Dew and do it all at once.
