wow, i never thought id see a crotch rocket with navi!!! color screen, satellite linked and all!!

That's a great idea. I think bikes need them more than cars because it's such a pain to pull over and have to pull the maps out. Now they just need a temp gauge and a link to local weather radar so you can see bad weather coming.

seems like a garmin streetpilot relabled as a "ducati performance" product and velcroed to the triple clamp of a ducati st4...



I've got several friends locally with various iterations of the streetpilot on their bikes. they're cool, but still pretty fragile with respect to the motorcycling environment. plus, they tend to be a pain in the ass to read while in motion (especially when mounted on the triple clamp as illustrated on the ducati site).

still, a prime example of better living through technology...

Too bad that thing sucks. Am I the only one that has used it? My friend bought one for his Z3, and we went on a trip downtown Chicago. He missed his turn on to wells street. And it took the thing 3 minutes to re-calculate the trip! On the highway it might be ok. But in the city we both agreed it sucks.
