Well I got to drive AC's 540 from a performance shop to his house and OMG let me tell you this thing is a BEAST!! it has dinan cai,tranny upgrade, just got new shocks,springs. I didn't really open her up but 1k~2.5k RPM the car was kinda sluggish and felt heavy but I didn't even WOT and past 3k RPM this car was just beast. I was merging on to a highway and this thing just took off. I couldn't really go about 75 cause my GF was folllowing me in my typeS and there was traffic on the beltway. I have no idea how some people claim to beat the 540 on the highspeeds. I can understand may be up to 60 or something but once this beasts gets going theres no stopping it .
The v8 is just a torque monster.

I've raced several 540's... they stomp be bad.

At high speed they stomp me alot more then a GS400 does.

I dont know the configs on any the cars Ive raced... but I do know they all spanked the shit outta me


If you wanna see a beast of a 540... a guy in the office next to mine has a 540 w full dinan upgrades... dinan everything... supercharged and all.


he claims like 10 or 11 sec quarter mile.

hey I actually raced him before but only till 80 he had his traction cont on. we were right on each others car. bumper to bumper but on the highway hands down no race. he almost ran into my rear bumper.

I think if your lucky you can get a jump on the 540 and take off but once it get the momentum c ya!

I've raced a 540 auto from a stop...and it was even, we ran until about 60 and shut it down. I love the car and would much rather have one than a GS430.
