something has changed on the forum, before when a URL was too long it would show the dots upon truncation, but not carry over when clicked up ...

hmmm.. only requires a camber kit if you're out of spec. Some springs drop more than others...

systek

how many inches is your drop?

did u get an alignment after the drop?

new tires is not a solution. fixing the camber is the solution.

your camber isn't even that bad, you just drove those tires until they were shit.

bad camber wear is when the inside edge is down to metal, and you still have 50%+ tread left on the rest of the tire.

my car is one of the lowest cl's on here and i'm never gonna get camber kits, my front tires will wear similer to the way yours did.

aint no thang. :o

yeah this has nothing to do with camber...those tires should have been decommisioned long ago....you're lucky they didn't blow out on ya.

How low of a drop? I just got a suspention setup from a friend of mine that traded in his CLS. Its a coil-over set up with the Tokico Illumina shocks and the H&R Racing springs. I have not yet installed em. I looked into ACP and found that the springs will drop me 2.2" F/ 1.75R. I figured with a drop like that I should look forward to a camber purchase.

I got the H&R sport springs, 1.5 F&R drop.

umm, with the inside on all 4 tires showing the steel belt, yes, i would say it IS a camber problem.

since the belt has broken through the rubber, i HAD to get tires, regardless of the camber situation. Someone want to give me a camber kit or sell em cheap???? pm or email me! rick_ramirez@dell.com

i would like to salvage the new tires, if possible by getting the kit asap. either way, my cousin hooked me up w/the new tires, so its no big deall

uhhhh, actually, i did one quarter mile event, "run what u brung" and did 3 autocross events, although the last one was run on toyo proxes, not these tires. yeh, i know, either way i burned them up silly, but it was fun. oh, btw, they took that beating up to 35k miles!!! not bad considering how soft they are...

oh yeh, i know how to cut and paste, ive noticed that the url usually gets truncated when posted..lets try again...

if it doesnt work, try my homepage: http://members.cardomain.com/systeq at the main page, i have a linked menu so click on 12. Replacement HP Tires

enjoy!

I had 3.8" drop on Nex SS coilovers and needed camber kits badly. I got them installed and everything was right in the world again.

I still have the camber kits installed on my current Tein SS coilovers even though I'm only around a 2" drop.

That's not a camber problem. It's a result of abuse. Look at your tires. They are completely bald and worn down to the tread indicator.

I also have the H&R sports. I have just under 38,000 miles on my stock michelins with about 20-25% tread left. No sign of camber wear at all.

I used to have a '97 prelude and it did have the exact same tire problem as your car. The car was 100% stock. I drove it pretty aggressively...and wore them out. When I decided to change them, that is exactly what I saw...bald tire with the steel exposed on the inside.

I have the H&R Sports with 18" rims/tires and the rear wheels look ever so slightly off. I mean just a tad. I bought the camber kit anyway. I figured I'd rather spend $160 to protect ~$500 worth of rear tires. I'm going to have PAA install them when they do my headers....
