I tried 19169 PIAA 5w, Raybrig 18w, Polarg 18w, and now have the PIAA 18w. Raybrig and Polarg only lasted about 3 month's before 1 went out and then I decided to change to another brand instead of replacing 1 bulb. I also tried th 19173 ION Yellow 5w but did not like the contrast with the orange corner lights.

Next time, try washing your hands before you touch your bulbs. Your greasy skin on the glass will definitely cause premature demise of your aftermarket bulbs.

Wash up, dirtyboy.

i had the raybrigs...didn't even touch them with my hands, i used a clean cloth the whole time to install them. they only lasted 2 weeks.

i think most of these high wattage non-halogen bulbs are only meant for intermittent use like for blinkers, not for constant on.

Most popular 18 Watt bulbs are either PIAA 19224 or Polarg M6. Most popular 5 watt bulb is probably the 19169.

[cheap plug]This is all in my FAQ. [/cheap plug]
