Driver Side Mirror Blind Spot!!!

Has anyone on this board addressed the damn blind spot on the CL? Making left turns is a Biiatch!! THe whole mirror impairs you from seeing curbs or street dividers when making those turns.. The biggest hazard is when pedestrians are crossing the streets.. I've almost hit about 5 plp so far... They cross in the view of this blind spot.. Acura should know that more left turns are made then anything so why not change the design? I opting for a side mirror that has a transparent arm holding it.. The mirror can have a relectivity sensor that clears when turns are being made and reflect when car in drive or reverse. Kinda like the mirrors that you can see through from one side and it's totally mirrored out on the other side.
.... Has anyone here almost run over someone or on a curb cuz of this? Let me know, but that's the Biggest flaw in this CL in my book.

I doesn’t bother me too much when driving.
I really hate it when maneuvering in parking lots because you can’t see oncoming traffic when you get to the end of an aisle.

Do you ever catch the car behind you in that big mirror and think it is a car coming at you from the side? LOL! I do this once a month!

You'll get use to the situation and you'll find that the blind spot will get smaller if not disappear altogether.

I like your description of the transparent / changing side mirror, but for the costs to do something like that, nobody would want them.

Seeing out of the CL is not really that bad. It's depends on your size, your driving habits, and how keen you are. There are worse cars.

Kensteele is right - try out the blind spot on a New Beetle - compared to that car, the CL has NO blindspot!
