I've read all of the former posts with this issue, and going by how many fuses I've blown, it seems that my ballast/igniter is out! sucks too, since I just got my kaixen bulbs in 1.5 weeks ago. so my question is.....where to find a new/used one, but more importantly...can I use one from a 2002 TL?

 

Nope TL and CL ballast inverters are different... if you look at any off the online OEM Acura parts places ( http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org/ etc), you'll see the part numbers are different. One is 2 pieces (ballast and igniter are separate) and the other is one module.

Try calling the local junkyards... I'm sure there are some 01's out there in the junkyards by now...

Or do an online junkyard search using http://car-part.com/ for example...

A search for ballast brought up 216 threads, but since I was looking for one I knew I had posted in it was easier for me to find.

acura oem parts it's 300 and i changed mine in an hour.
