Drag Racing Simulation Runs

I did some simulation runs for the CLS-6, CLS-5AT with SC.

The biggest problem is not power... it is traction:

Here is the simulation runs:

245lbft @ 3000 rpms and 297 SAE WHP @ 7000 rpms
Sun Jun 29 03 1:35 pm
Time Slip For:
2001 Acura CLS-5AT Import moded with Comptech SC
0-60 MPH: 4.82s
RT .500
60 ft 2.193
330 ft 5.726
1/8 ET 8.660
1/8 MPH 84.49
1000 ft 11.207
1/4 ET 13.341
1/4 MPH 105.98

261lbft @ 3000 rpms and 307 SAE WHP @ 7000 rpms
Sun Jun 29 03 1:42 pm
Time Slip For:
2003 Acura CLS-6 Import moded Comptech SC
0-60 MPH: 4.61s
RT .500
60 ft 2.063
330 ft 5.653
1/8 ET 8.612
1/8 MPH 86.19
1000 ft 11.131
1/4 ET 13.266
1/4 MPH 106.01

I noted that anything above 300 WHP does NOT increase performance due to lack of traction... example, you reach redline forcing a gear shift before 60'.

Maybe. His other #s for the stock are right on. Mattg has run a 14.1, add the SC and get half a second or more and you're almost there. Remember, the auto doesn't lose the boost on shift like the 6MT.

Very interesting!! Does this program take weight into account? Or does it just use the stock curb weight? I think my car is a few hundred pound heavier due to my stero, kit, and golf bag...

This seems extremely accurate--simulation or not. Makes me laugh at the stupid C&D article even more!
