Double-Din Sliding Cover

I just ordered the metra kit of 2nd gen CL. I noticed some people have covers to hide their double dins. Does anyone have any creative ways to hide it? My idea is to push the double din screen I am getting inner and install and sliding cover of some kind. S2K cover?

The S2k cover is a single din plate. Nice idea though, but having something completely cover it still gives away the fact that you have a radio. Someone with an RSX had a radio and pushed it back, then ripped the faceplate off the stock radio and places it over the new radio when the car is parked.

I have a great cover for mine. 20% tint all around, haha! Why would you wanna hide that beautiful HU? Even if someone wanted it, they would have to take the entire dash apart just to get it out.

I have seen cases where the HU's have been stolen out of cars like ours and the scene isn't pretty. Dash is totally destroyed around the area. I'm getting mine in a few months, I wish I didn't have to worry about things like this happening.

I just installed the metra kit for my Kenwood Double DIN... its a pretty nice fit. You might have enough room to sink the radio back in the dash, I know the Kenwood has an awful lot of input/output wires that have to get tucked in, but luckily there is some generous room in these dashes I thought.

The stock face plate does appear to pop off, and the buttons could me secured to give a realistic look as though its installed. (Don't forget to keep the red LED flashing if you want it to look totally OEM though! )

Tint all around is my solution... hope to get it over to my friend's tint shop this week if I get myself to remove the rear deck one of these days LOL

With tint and a sunshade up on the windshield, its damn hard to see in.

Another line of defense going is of course an alarm with a backup battery connected.
