Does your state have emissions?

Michigan does not and I was thinking of ordering a test pipe that looks like a cat from testpipe.com. What types of hp gains can I expect still keeping the stock muffler and what hp gains with a new low restriction muffler?

We dont have emissions either, but spiro put the random tech cat on and lost all his low end power. Since we are already hurting so much, he took it off and his times improved. I'd say, stick with the stock setup unless you are going forced induction.

Florida doesn't have it either. I have no cats on my truck. I know a few people with honda's without them too.

Ha! That's funny cause IL does have emissions testing. Guess he doesn't plan on keeping the car that long.

I think NC exempts new cars for 3 years and any cars that use to run on leaded-regular.

I live in Ohio and only certain counties have emission laws. My county is one of them so I just register my car in another county. Avoids the fees and the hassle, priceless.

We here in MD have emissions testing, and I need to get my test completed before Monday, or it's a $15 late fee, thanks for the reminder guys!

So will I really lose power but taking off my cat?

Yes, because your engine was designed to run with a cat.
