I live in FL, and we have those damn love
bugs here. They have ruined the hood of my car. So much so, that I think I have cheap paint on my hood.

I've cleaned many cars with love bugs on the hood... and while they take some elbow grease to get off, they do come off.

Has anybody else seen this problem???

 

I drove thru florida and had the same problem, as far as bugs sticking to the hood. I got some Turtle Wax bug remover, comes in a green plastic spray bottle. it removed them with a minimal amount of rubbing, pretty cool.

 

Just make sure you keep your car waxed

Or you can go with ZAINO.

I am too lazy to wax my car, Way to busy anyways. I figure I could justify a nice new THICK COAT of paint in the future due to my laziness

It's not only on your hood, the whole car has cheap paint.

I have the same problem though, bugs everywhere, I guess waxing it would help, but I haven't had time. Anyone know of good cheap detailers down here?

Get used to it. My hood looked horriable but then i got it replaced and because some kid walked on it and the paint is so much better. Anything will chip the paint off Acuras and those love bugs are a real bitch. I'm not sure where you live but i drive to Gainesville a lot and they have a ton of these bugs. Just make you sure you clean them off the front of the car, and dont forget the mirrors, everyday or you'll be sorry.
