Does putting heavy rims.....

Does putting heavy Chrome rims on your car effect your engine... not soo much perforance cuz i know it will be slower... but i mean as in the long run, Will it put too much stress on your engine? Or it can handle it?

To some extent yes it does put more stress on the engine. Adding weight to any mechanical machine is going to make it work harder. But, the small amount of weight you add with the rims shouldnt have any affect on the life of the car.

You add far more weight by having 2,3,or 4 people ride in the car than you could ever add in the rims!

Don't worry about it!

its to keep your 300hp beasts with headers, intake, the works, etc. *under* control by compensating.

wouldn't hurt to get beefy Brembo's as well or instead of the heavier rims.
