does this looked lowered to you?

i bought this car used about a year ago (and still love it). i've been comparing the wheel gap to other seemingly stock CLs and my wheel gap (especially the front) looks way smaller than everyone else's gap. i don't know if the previous owner lowered it or not. the springs all look stock. i do have some extra weight in the trunk (2 amps, 12" in box, 1F cap, heavy wiring, mounting boards), but that would make the back lower not the front. so, what do you think? has this car been lowered?

i'm thinking about getting rondog's sweet CL-kit with either Inspyres or Servos 235-40-18 but i don't want to lower it anymore (htown streets suck and i like the ride i have now). i don't race, i just want the look.

thoughts?

those are Toyo 215/50R17s. i'll get a better pic of the springs themselves.

i bought it up in dallas. it's nearly perfect. it has a scratch on the back bumper (soon to be fixed) and a scrape on the back of the front-center console.

do you think the back is lowered too?

Yep, it's lowered...

On the colors:

AM = Anthracite Metallic

and... NBP is Nighthawk Black Pearl...

PDG stands for Pimp Daddy Gold... Obviously it wasn't what Acura "officially" called it... Sundance Gold Pearl was the "offical" name
I think I've got most of the colors (including the CLP colors) here in this poll:

Nobody answered my question in that thread

I hate to be an alarm setter, but if you got some time check the springs out and make sure there's no rust or corrosion. I remember a couple of years back some people had problems with a bad batch of silver comptech springs which basically rusted away to powder.

I'm sure it's being over cautious, but I'm just bringing it up as it would only take about 30 minutes to jack the car up and take a look @ the springs on top of not knowing exactly how old those springs are.

He lives in TX so rust shouldn't be an issue.

well said. rust isn't a problem here. at least there's one benefit from living in a semi-tropical zone: no snow or ice.

i'll take a look the next time i have the tires off anyways though. thanks for the heads-up.

i wuoldnt be so sure. in galveston if you leave something that has a potential to rust outside over a week. you can already see the corrosion starting. the wind blows outa the south off the beach at least 260 days outa the year. damn near everything that isnt stainless will rust if your on the tx coast.

Yep, you difinitely already have CT springs in there. I was thinkng that as soon as I saw the raked look of it. Car looks good! I would take the wheels off and inspect for rust no matter where you live though.
