Does caliper move w/new pads?

When I install new brake pads on the front, will the outside of the caliper move towards the back of the wheel?

Does it slowly move inwards as the pads wear or is it in a static position?

I am worrired that when I install new pads, my front wheels won't clear the calipers. Their damn close now.

Never thought of that

Sounds like that could be a problem. Maybe you will have to install preworn pads on the outside.
