Does anybody buy from RickS2k.com??

Beware because I bought a Voodoo Titanium shift knob for $129 on 5/12 and its 5/27 and no delivery of product. Not only that but I must have sent him about 10 e-mails regarding the knob and no response from him. I just wanted to know what your experience is of his website if anybody bought the clear diffusers?? I don't know but if this guy was on ebay he would of been kicked off so fast its not even funny.

My buddy did and the guy was a bit of a pain in the ass to deal with. The shiftknob came right away, but the S badges didn't. After about a month and several emails later......they showed.

When this individual actually delivers, the products are very nice I must say.

I heard that also but why the fawk does he avoid people's e-mail I said some less than nice things but I didn't think anybody was reading them but I just got an e-mail crediting my credit card
I quess they don't want my money after all then they said to return the knob because it has already been shipped so I'll ship it back in 3 weeks like they did with me.

Hey Lou.. Completely unrelated message, but your PM box is full.

I wanted to ask you if on Monday afternoon around 3-4pm, were you driving on the GCP near LaGuardia? I driving a white 03 Accord. I saw a 03 Silver CLS with Comptech exhaust and rims, go by. The car looked really nice. I was in the right lane so I couldn't see if it was you.

Just wanted to let you know that if it was you, you have a sweet ass ride!

I was in the right lane merging to go to the Whitestone Expy, when you drove past so I couldn't get over to catch up to you. Also with the 4-banger the Accord has, I wasn't going anywhere quickly.

Car looks nice from the outside at least! I'm in Queens this weekend with the Z.. I'll be looking out for you!

Slimey its the perfect knob for 3 reasons.

1-Its Titanium which goes with the titanium OEM trim

2-Its heavy like 284 grams compares to the plastic leather stock knob

3-its counstersunk meaning the knob will screw all the way down shortening the throws

From Voodoo Bob himself:

I have yet to see a Honda product, from a Civic to an NSX, that isn't 10 X 1.50mm. So in that regard, I expect it would fit. He can verify that before buying one by getting a 10 X 1.50mm nut and trying to thread it onto his shift lever. If that works, the knob will too...at least as regards the thread.

Will the knob cover the entire distance between the top of the lever and the shift boot without a gap, however? That's a more difficult question to answer. Basically, I tell them that the total bore depth of the S2000 knob is 1.70 inches. If the distance from the top of their shift lever (without a knob on it) to the top of their shift boot in its normal resting position is 1.70 inches or less, there will not be a gap. If it's greater than that, there will be a gap equal to the difference.

If the shift boot has a hard plastic piece at its top, that complicates things further, as it make clang and bang against the bottom of a metal knob.

----
VBob

I measured already and it only measure a little over 1 inch and the plastic piece of the shift boot can be removed....also RickS2K sells some nice shift boots, Im thinkin of this one

He is the one who sells the clear diffusers for our car and the TL. The ones for the front headlights. I saw a set for the CL in person, and they were NICE, problem was, the person who ordered them, ordered them for a TL. I'll let you know how things are going as soon as I find out!!

Exactly what I was thinking.

I was probably going to go whole hog and get the boot too.

this is not the first time i've heard of Rick not responding to repeated e-mails, so take it for what it's worth...as for my clear diffuser experience with Rick, it was fine...if anything, i recall complaining for waiting, but that's typical me

I had a friend who recently ordered some of the clear diffusers for her 03 TL-S. They sent it out in a week, but it turned out to be the wrong diffusers. It ended up being for the CL. So an email was sent out and they responded that they made a mistake with one of them and to send it back either by putting "Return to sender" or to ship it back and they will cover postage. So she decided it would be best to send it back certified, total cost of shipping was like $9.70. A week goes by and no word from them, and then one day, $9.70 is credited back to her, but no word on when the new diffusers would be shipped. Today she receives the email that they have received the diffusers and are shipping out the new ones. Customer service is definitely lacking, but they do get things done...eventually.

products made on demand.

This is true for most products that Rick sells on his website.
The diffusers are the only items that are somewhat mass produced and in stock when ordered.

for that reason it takes some time for Rick or his partners to fabricate and ship the products.

as far as customer service goes....i guess its relative. i haven't had a problem once on the s2ki.com board.

ricks has updated his website with some shipping insight for those who think it takes too longs for the products to be delivered.
