I have a sundance gold cl-s and recently got it tinted. I know there are several threads explaining how to tint over the brake light. They unfortunately tinted around it and I HATE IT! He tinted it right around the brake light leaving the window dark tinted and an outline of a bright grey brake liight which looks horrible!

As I read through the forums, they say in order to remove the rear deck you must remove the rear seats, then the rear deck. Is it worth removing and going through all that trouble? I mean I sure it takes a good bit of time, but honestly, I am not sure if other people have done it, but is it worth removing the rear deck and seats to just tint over the 3rd brake light?

Let me know what you guys think....

One: It's not that difficult to remove the seats, etc.

Two: If the tint shop knows what they are doing, they may be able to work around removing the rear deck to tint it.

Good luck. I wished I owned my car before it was tinted so I could make sure they did it right.

 

dude, I already had it installed about two weeks ago, and the guy said he will remove the tint it currently has, and then install a new one, or he can just tint it over the part that it isnt tinted and you could not tell it was tinted.

#1 If I remove it, will my defroster not work, its only been two weeks?!?!?!

#2 Is it true since my tint is dark, that if he covers that little part untinted, you
would not be able to tell?

 

ROFL, For what year of cl is this for cuz a 97,98 3rd break light is extremely easy to take out without doing anything
99 to 03 i dont know ..
