Do you need a front plate in AZ?

Just curious.

Here in MD it's required by law. I just saw an ass cop pull a u-turn to chase after a nice-looking RSX-S that I noticed didn't have a front plate (and I assume that's what he went after him out of his way for.

I highly doubt thats why he went after him. Here in PA we don't need a front plate and I often drive into MD and have never had a problem.

it's required in MD so I wouldn't be suprised if that was the reason.

Yea im well aware of that.........

Do you actually think that a cop would pull a U-turn with out lookin in his mirror and seeing that the guy has AZ plates. They guy probably did something else wrong, or the cop was after someone else. As I stated before I often drive in MD and have passed lots of cops and have never had a cop pull a U-turn.

i've had it happen to me for no front plate on 2 occasions, the cop made complete turn arounds. Finally after a dozen no front plant and front tint tickets I put on my front plate and took off my front tint

I think you are misunderstanding what im saying. Drivers in AZ and PA don't have front plates, which are the two states in question for driving in MD. I said that if a cop see's that I have a PA plate he isn't going to pull me over for not having a front plate.

You are from CA where front plates are required so I can see why they pulled you over for not having one

Actually you're confused.

I was asking about AZ since i might be moving out there soon.
I was talking about MD because that's where I live and the cops are assholes about no front plate.

If I get a new car soon I want to get one without a front plate and bracket marring the looks of the vehicle. So if I get a new car while still in MD I will run the risk of getting a ticket but I wanted to make sure I'd be running the risk for a reason - that AZ doesn't have a front plate needed when I get to AZ.

I have never seen a cop let someone off, based on ignorance

they usually go after fixed up cars, i'm the only one in the whole family out of all the cars to have one.

I moved from NY to CT, and a front plate is optional in CT, which I was pretty happy about. CT = lower insurance + no front plate

My friend from NY hated having a front plate on his car, so he damaged the front plate as well as the holder before taking it off. When he got pulled over, he showed the broken holder and plate to the cop and said that earlier someone had bumped his car and the plate fell off. Cop let him go with a warning. Worked for him twice he said
