Do you like your CLS???

ok very simple question do you guys love your cls? I know people hate it and people just tell me to just stop modding that its not worth it and i see plenty of people selling their cls or parting it off well i just want everyones honest opinion.

I still like my 6sp CL. I would prefer it were RWD, but I have test drove alot of "more sportier" cars and always love the way my car rides and drives. I have lowered mine and put an AEM on it, but too broke for anything else. I will have this car probably till it dies, is totalled or stollen....and the last 2 are probably more likely here in Florida! I hope Acura makes a CL replacement in agian so I can replace this CL with a new one!

almost all the people on here would of course love their cls. its an acura enthusiast website so of course its gonna be biased.

-and if u plan on keeping ur car until it dies...then u'll be keeping it for quite a while. as far as things "letting u down," the only main problem with the car that can't be prevented is the tranny. other than that, scheduled maintenance should keep you and your car happy.

I had mine modded but now it's back to stock. I love my modded CLs. I just like my CL stock. I was trying to trade mine in for a 4 door, but the dealerships are low-balling me. So, I'm probably keeping it a bit longer.

I love the 6 speed, the biggest reason I got the CL. I get bored quickly driving automatics.

I like mine, but I would have never entertained the thought of purchasing a CLS if it weren’t for the 6 speed... and NAVI of course

I absolutely love my CL! My first impression was great and every time i drive it, i still love every minute of it. Once you start modding it though, you'll love it even more!

I like my CL, it's a nice coupe. Lately my eyes have been wandering all over the place though. There are lots of cars out there that I'd give her up for in a heartbeat (but not in the same price range of course).

I'm in the same boat. In general I like it, but there's always something that bugs me - lately it's been the fact that I can't get a smooth ride out of the tires/alignment and that I hate the power delivery with the A/C on.

I often wish I had just picked up a G35 when I traded my '01 5AT for an '03 6MT, especially when checking out resale on them. At the moment I am torn between riding out the '03 and looking into M-B CLK's, though it's a considerable price jump. There's just not much else out there that excites me (that I can afford)...

I like it, but I'm just getting bored with it. I still think it's a great value. I will hold on to it until it's paid off. Nothing out there really grabs my attention anyways and it's a PIA to take these mods off to sell.

I would never have owned a CL if they never made a manual transmission, never owned an auto and no plans anytime soon. When I consider the way it looks and the way it runs with the amount i paid for it....I absolutely LOVE it!!

Some times I like it. Other times not. I just wish the seat went further back. Also makes my left knee hurt so bad on long trips for some reason.

I hated it a few months back because there was so much wrong with it, but when I started devoting most of my money to the CL's restoration, the wow factor for me is back.

I bought my car for different reason than most people on here...purely on style and it's suspension capabilities. Performance was never really anything crutial to me. I've had it for 5 and a half years now and still wash it ever Saturday, take it out cruising and it still pulls tons of comliments. I'll be selling my car in January and getting a QX56, but the only reason is because I have a baby boy due in November and I need something that''ll pull a trailer for my other toys. It's been a wonderful car, well built, and rock solid.

I just got mine (2003 CL Type S) and i love it. Its beautifull.

I'm more than happy with it. hopefully my transmission will blow before the 3 remaining years of warranty are up and the new tranny they replace it with has all the tranny issues fixed.

Im a grandma driver man. I do 80 on the freeway and thats about it. no peel outs, no redlines..

Classy styling + nice leather seats + comfortable suspension + automatic = much improved daily commute in city traffic with reduced road rage!

Well ever since the TL Type S came out I wanted one. Then I saw/heard one floored w/ an intake & knew I must get one. We're talking years of pining while I drove my Integra that I loved too. Long story short I gave up the best car i've ever had & prolly will have (Integra) to finally get my CL. I did want a TL-S but I got such an amazing deal I had no choice. All I wish was that I had a 6-speed but I might just get one if this CL keeps my love strong. Even as it is, (knock on wood) I guess I got one of the good transmissions. 129,XXX, never been replaced, shifts perfectly but I still carry a powertrain warranty just in case. So do I like my CL ?? No, I LOVE IT !!!

You mention that you still carry a powertrain warranty, how would i go about inquring about this powertrain warranty? is this just like an extended warranty that u purchase from Acura?

It's through my credit union. It's Route 66 auto warranty; http://www.route66warranty.com/ The only catch to mine is u pay the price for repairs then they reimburst u. But since it's thru my credit union they pay for it then I give them the money from Route 66. Haven't had to use it yet but my banker guy said they never hassle ppl abt not covering repairs. He showed me a folder of claims that were covered & it was huge. Cost me $840 I believe for 3 yr/36,000 miles. I couldn't turn it down.

I love it, the only paranoia is transmission if it fails after 100K miles/ 7 years.

I love mine as well. For what I paid for this used, I could have had a number of smaller cars, with no torque, and no toys.

Would you rather have a used Cadillac or a new Cavalier? A used Caddy, any day.

I love mine. Athough the resale value is killing me, epecially with the miles I have on her. I would sell mine, but then I would have to downgrade in looks, performance and features considerably. Plus there isn't a good coupe out there that grabs my attention like the CL did that isn't 20+ thousand dollars above my limit. I will probably be keeping her untill I get out of college or she dies which ever comes first. Untill then I am going to have fun with her...

I love my cls, thers absolutely nothing in its price range that can even compare. Great styling, decent handling, and a nice engine with plenty of cool features. And i love the seats, sooo comfortable....

Passenger side tilt mirror
Driver and Passenger seat "passthrough" feature
Driver and Passenger seat electronically adjustable
Smart passenger side airbag
2 Driver Memory seat
Heated seats

Perforated Leather Seats

To get all of this today in a 'near luxury' coupe you would have to part with 40 G's
