Do you guys buy this?

I just got off the phone with my local tire place and I am about to order Bridgestone s-03's. They want $200 a tire without installation. I told him that I can get them for 155 a tire from tirerack and he told me that it would basically come out to the same price after install b/c of shipping and he is a licencend dealer for tirerack.

He said that istall will be over $30 per tire. Is that right?

But if I order through them they will align the car for free ($60 value)

I find it hard to believe that a $155 tire will wind up costing me $230 when I am all said and done and installed.

Thank sux

if you order the tires from them mounting and balancing should be free. If you order themf rom tirerack you will then be charged mounting and balancing from the shop you take them too. Try a americas discount tires store.

If memory serves, Tire Rack has a listing of preferred dealerships that will install their tires. When I checked the cost were between $12-15 a tire. I don't remember if that included balancing the tires.

Try American Tires...my friend just some S-03s there. They matched Tirerack's prices.
