Do xynon headlights DIM after time?

So i was just looking on ebay and came across these replacement headlights and I was curious if this would make my lights brighter.. as I assume mine are original and have plenty of usage. Don't the lights dim after a while?

think it would be worth it to replace them?

ya they do dim in colour a bit, but those are more money than you need to pay, there are other cheaper options that work just as well.

its just like any other hid bulbs xenon is just a fancy name. you can buy it from the sponsor's here. usually they dim in color and thats when you know its time to change them especially if you get 8k or greater bulbs.

When they start to go bad they start turning blue.

I have some D2R bulbs Im obviously not using. I dont know how many hours are on them, but they are still good. I dont know what shipping to Canada would be though.

BTW, Id much rather go with a name brand bulb. Alot of aftermarket bulbs have alignment issues. Either the entire bulb is crooked in the socket (it happens) or the filament within the bulb is misaligned. That causes odd reflection issues.

I just think it'd be a nice lil maintenance for my baby for a chirstmas present to her :-)..

no?

won't those fit with no issues (the ones in the link i posted?)

Better then Phillips

If you want quality bulbs there are two brands to consider; Osram and Phillips.

No other company has such stringent quality control. Just because this guy says they are better then Phillips in his ebay auction does not mean that is true.

they say 4300k is the brightest but me personaly I like 6000k and 8000k I think there are almost as bright but have a hint of blue which looks better IMO my fogs are 8000k, and with 4300k headlights the headlights look like really bright halogens IMO

Philips are the best, but for $100 there not that much better I got some bulbs off of ebay for $25 shipped to Ottawa Ontario and the were a little tight when I was putting the conector on but other than that they look fine

So IMO get the cheapest bulbs you can you will only have to put them in once !

Thats how much philips are. why would you spend 100 when you can spend 25 and get pretty much the same thing

I can understand if it was 75 vs 100 then I would spend 100

but i wanna make sure it's not some cheep poo.. and
100 for good light bulbs that'll last is not much to pay in my mind...
I am almost done modding so i can afford to spend a premium on something like that for piece of mind.

Mine actually went more of a Pink and more dim over time. Replaced them with some Philips 4300K off of E-Bay and it made a huge difference.

Usually they go blue, then purple, then pink. Its hard to pick up the blue sometimes. The purple and pink is easy to see.

Those are not going to be that brite they are going to project out and not fill the fog space you need something to bounce off the reflector

BTW that is a crazy price you can get ones that will look better for way less I will find some and send you the link

Most LED's don't have many luminens therefore it won't be bright no matter what.

I don't want the fogs to be reflective as I am going to be tinting them so those LEDs I picked out (although expensive) are exactly what I want. I want little spot lights coming from the fogs, I don't want them to be filled up.

thanks fo the link... i was looking at those a lot and concluded they are just not bright at all. as you can see from the picture the light given off is minimal. (even if it reflects in the fog housing, still won't be nearlyas bright as I'd like)

yes but the stock set up has no extra lighting power anyways. I want these led's more for show than for actually lumination.

So i got some nighthawk GE's now for the highbeam's. they are definitely brighter.

the fogs just look yellow and so dull... I want the LED's just to lighten up the front of the car when u look at it so the lighting colors are at least the same somewhat.

I just ordered some a week ago for $30 shipped to canada and before that I ordered some 30 000k for 25 shipped and they worked fine but a little tight

BTW if you are going to spend $75 on leds, get HIDs and come down to my place and I will Install them for you and tint them !!!!!! I can also do a custom led setup that will have the same effect but will cost $5 !!!!
