Do Seat Heaters Have Weight Sensors??
I just picked up my car from the dealer after having the passanger side seat bottom, and drivers side seat back heater elements replaced. I turned them on and after 10 min, passenger side still ice cold, driver side nice and toasty.
Then I pushed down with my hand on the passanger side seat for about 30 sec. Almost instantly, the seat started to warm up. I could be wrong but is there some sort of switch or sensor in the seats that triggers heat to turn on?

yeah i think it does because sometimes in other cars you would see the seatbelt sensor for the passenger seat. If no ones on it the seat doesn't show the reminder and when pressure is on the seat the seat reminder comes on.

Indeed, For those of you who think your passenger seat heater may be out, you might want to sit in it when you test it before bringing it to the dealer......., and check fuses too.
