It looks like the base is thinner but the top is taller, but overall they are about the same height.

It does look like there is one, but that could be the stock gasket though.

My photo-meter reader guesstimates RES is about 25mm overall ... yes .. no... ?

I've got the new plan ready, I will just get a 7" x 14" x 1" aluminum plate and mill out in the shape of the gasket. This way the stock cover will still be on there and the original shape retained. This should also provide a clean install and stock looking.

I'll track this down tomorrow and start on it this week. It might be done for the next round of testing next weekend.

Your right, that looks to ridged also. The stock one is fairly flimsy.

Well that peice was a 1" Aluminum plate stock, prior to milling /planing/polishing/decking Id really suggest going about it from the back end... build a spacer (with careful note to the chamber divider clearence) and bolt the factory unit to the top... yes i know longer bolts too LOL

Yea, it seems to be a better method in retrospect. Hopefully ready for testing by next weekend...

I think its safe to assume you take careful planning into consideration and research it before you hit the bench.. so with that in mind I mentioned in the "other thread" if you acheive results you like you may want to consider garolite as a sequel to this project.... more $$ but thermal insulation, tensile strength is a nice featureespecially if you have enough to mill "other" gaskets... mcmaster.com part #8474K202 ... hopefully im helping and not annoying ya LOL

jsut to help out guys, the thing on the bottom of the RES in that picture was just a chrome/metal cover. I guess he was hiding the design inside.

He mentioned something about, "its like Intel Inside" dont quote me on that.

that makes sense... its cant just be increased volume, because then the physics of the air circulation change... there has to be a very precise shape which will channel the air correctly... adding more volume will simply cause more turbulance in the chamber(s)

Which is exactly what I am beginning to think. But there is still more time until the part is released, why not try a few things first in the interim.

the problem is we dont know what the intel inside is...but ...im thinking and not giving up on contacting doug...i may even try to figure out who MDX-S is and contact him...it just doesnt make sense to me that if doug is never gonna release this thing that he wouldnt help some of us make it a reality...my thoughts are like the new AEM V2 it makes a secondary hemholtz effect inside...how im not sure but ...it's in my mind and i almost have it.

hmm, would the inner section of RES are spread out wider to allow more air being stored?

or maybe the gain is fake?

ill tell you ...if i werent driving around with this engine i might start to believ it was fake or something...but i do have his 3.5L miracle and i believe RES is real...it makes it real hard knowing it exists and not having any access to it...

typeR,
no doubt. I do believe it exists. Let's hope it becomes something everybody has. Gotta let Doug know that there are people who still want it!!!!
