Ditching the CL for....*PICS*

Ditching the CL for a '94 SupraTT...couldn't hande not having power, and needed something with more capabilities and more options! I wanted to post some pics and get some feedback on what my fellow CLers think? I love the CL...it has class and looks, but lacks in the speed department. Enjoy!

Check out my soon to be Supra at... http://public.fotki.com/ShaneC/supratt/

All comments are appreciated...thanks...

YUP!!! That's correct!!! When I first saw the car it had 3500 miles exactly, and I drove her 10 miles....so now she says 3510 miles!!! QUITE A FIND HUH??? I am sooooo stoked!!! Plus it has a McIntosh system which hits the spot!!! The car also has upgraded turbos, ECU, suspension, exhaust, and F1 radar...with a few other little goodies! Thanks man!

Nice car!!! But from the way the wear on the pedals and seats look. The car definitely has more than 3500 miles on it (I would say, it has at least around 20k miles it.) Hopefully you notice that before you buy that car. Btw, you also need some rims.

No, I know for a fact that it has 3,500 miles because it is my Mom's boyfriends...and he bought it new in '94 and has had it garaged ever since...taking it out rarely for a drive, oil change, and smog test. Thanks for looking out though...I know where it's coming from. Trust me...I wouldn't just believe that from any old shmoe out there. Thanks man!

I know I need rims! Doesn't look horrible with the stock rims...but hey I will get to that eventually.

WOW…. The car looks SWEET. I’ve always loved those.
But it’s really hard to believe that mileage.

I can’t imagine paying 40+ for a sports car and more for the system and then parking it for ten years and never driving it.
Talk about a POOR investment.
Poor for the original owner I mean….not you.
How much did you pay ?

If it truely has 3500 miles, then it is quite a nice find. But damn, who the hell puts all that in a car and then only drives 400 miles a year?

But I can see what topdaytrader was saying about the seats. There really should not be that much wear&tear on the door-side bolster of the driver seat bottom with that few miles. It looked more wrinkled than my CL-S with 30000 miles.

Anyway, enjoy your new ride.

Hey,my 2 cousins have NA supras, one pearlwhite, one black(NA cuz they are reg in NY emissions/). anyway, they both have under 50k miles and their seats are in horrible condition cracking and wrinkled up like an old mans sack, same with my pops landcriser. I think toyotas leather is just prone to wrinkles. So he may be right bout the 3500 miles dudes.

Nice find!!!

I suppose if all four of those cars in the pic are from the same owner, then they can afford to spend +40Gs on a car and only drive it 400 miles a year. It does seem like a waste though

Wow nice find!! with a milage like that, are you going to tell us how much you paid?? I was thinking about getting one a while back, but I just couldn't believe that a 94 TT (almost ten years old) was still selling from bout 90% of it's MSRP value.. it's just CRAZY!!! I wish I had the money back then, I would have been all over that!!

Lucky baster!!

Good eye...Actually those cars in the background have about the same mileage...and they both also have McIntosh systems in them as well. The truck has custom two toned leather, navigation, a supercharger, and a few other little goodies. That truck is actually one of a kind...it is a Dodge 2500 extended cab V10 inside of a shortbed no cab 1500 body! It is fast as hell for a truck, and the reason why it is one of a kind is because it was built for the federally's in Mexico but he got one because he has done some work or some shit over there. The Rolls Royce has an even nicer system than the Supra, and has even less miles....and it is much older! He also has a Harley and a Black Land Cruiser Defender with like no miles on it in storage! This guy is smart, and buys cars purely for the love of taking care of them, and the enjoyment of fixing them up! I am really glad I was able to pick up on such an automobile. The price is still getting debated considering it is my moms boyfriend, but I have been looking around and have found that a '94 with only 3,500 miles on it should be selling for around $40,000 if not more with the mods he has done to it! I really don't understand it though because I have had my CL for 2+ years now, and it has depreciated like no other! Toyota's in general I think retain their value fairly well....i.e. 4-Runner, Supra, etc...they are just very god cars!

And for those of you tripping over leather...I think it is just Toyota's leather that can't hold up to any punishment. The leather on this car is in pristine condition except for that one part which is where anyone who gets into the car hit their leg because the car is damn small! He has the car details like once a month so I imagine that the people who detail it have something to do with that as well, but if any of you go and find a Supra and look at the interior...they all look like crap!

I do have flash on my camera....if you noticed...I took like 4 different shots of the same view...one from far, one from close, one from far with a flash, one from close with a flash. The pictures that appear to be dark are the ones that I took with the flash...and they came out dark because I was in a parking structure, so they came out better without a flash. But hey, if you guys want to start a fund anyways...I would be more than happy to accept the money and put it towards my BPU fund! Thanks

Supra is nice if you want to go crazy fast and still have good handling. But it came out in 1993 and cars and chassis have improved signifigantly since then. Plus you gotta pay the F&F markup which borders on insane...

Well, I THOUGHT it was pretty nice until he mentioned the 40,000-dollar part.
OUCH !!!!!

For that much MULA I think I might look elsewhere for something with 0-Miles and a warranty.
I can’t imagine that Turbo 6 is too cheap to work on when things go wrong.

on the seats just get some sparcos or something nice

rims get some 19" 3-piece rims and you'll be rolling nicely

As I said...I don't think I will be paying that since it is my moms boyfriend, but it won't come cheap! The car is basically brand new, and I think it is an amazing machine! And there are aftermarket warranties out there that replace with OEM Toyota parts, and that would definately be my first mod... . No worries.

Not exactly sure, but I know it has 360 degree protection...I am thinking it is almost identical to the V-1...you can check out the pics of it...It is built in right below the head unit...

Stock numbers are 320hp...315 ft/lbs of torque....0-60 in 5.3 seconds, and 1/4 mile in 13.3...which is damn good for stock. The car has upgraded turbos, ECU, exhaust, and a couple other little things...so I don't know what it's running now. But as soon as I get the car I am gonna DYNO it, and I will let you guys know. Thanks

sorry bro, but as far as i know there are no after market warranties for vehicles with sequential turbos(bastards). It's the only thing that kept from buying a gorgeous 1996 rx7 with 36 k miles last october .

P.s if u decide to sell the car i'll trade u ur sways for the oem sways and cash
