Mine went out in the middle of WWF. I just think they reprogrammed them, and not zapped them. I have a device that prevents them from being zapped. But I could be wrong. I'll try to get mine reprogrammed tomorrow, and give you a status report.

its more than that fella's looks like a "infinite loop" in one of the early sections of the code, one that is worm (write one read mostly), if this is wrong someone please correct me, luckily i have a third back up i keep in a safe place

These guys are using "test" cards. DirecTV sends "bombs" down the line to unprogram them by sending them into an endless loop. It's a "to catch a thief" game" they both are playing. They are trying to receive DSS without paying for it. Cheap bastards!

It would be cool to have the job at DirectTV in charge of creating the programs which blow up/reprogram/hack and destroy the illegal boxes which are out there. This would be like getting paid to trash equipment. Cool.

Yeah that would be an awesome job. Especially since you could be two faced. Destroy free DSS on one end, while making a decoder and selling on the other. You make it, you destroy it, you make double the money!
