Has anyone noticed the different sound at idle the 2003 CLS 6 speed has verses the 2001 CLS? My 2001 I traded in was a little quieter than my 2003. There's this added slight hushing sound coming through the firewall when car is idling.

My 03 has a slightly more noticable vibration at idle than my 02 did....prob have to do with the motor mounts is my guess....the 6 speed has extra mounts.

I know the 03 CLS 6spd has a slightly deeper and throatier growl than the 01 CLS. The exhausts also appeared slightly different.

I have notice the same sound from the engine bay. Initially I thought it was the AC fan or the radiator fan. But it is just the natural aspiration/vacuum from the engine.

Exhaust is different. my Cl is louder than my GF's TL

That's exactly what I thought at first ... the noise was caused by a noisy fan.

I think Acura may have intentionally made the engine noise louder for the 6sp enthusiasts.
