Different CT headers???

Why does acp.com have two different headers for the CLS. It says one for auto and one for 6 speed. Does that mean that the headers are not the same. In other words I can't get CT headers for my auto now then transfer em to my 6 speed later???

That is true, since the transmissions are different I assume, the placement of them are a bit different.

I could be wrong though?

I think the LSD was in the way. The only difference is one of the pipes has a different bend in it. On the 6 speed headers, one of the pipes has a little more bend in it to avoid hitting the LSD!! The 6 speed headers should fit both!!!! typeR had a great idea!!!

Yes, I think Dean said that Comptech is actually switching all production to the design that they use for the 6-Speed.
That way they only have to deal with ONE part number and stock item.

Here’s a photo of the rear bank of the headers.
You can see the “little” bend they had to make.

Even if these headers produced less hp...I doubt someone with a 6spd would really feel the difference.

Nah....same power, just bent to clear the rear engine mount. The pipe is still equal length, just turned now instead of straight.

Thanks
Dean
