Different color coolants for same car... kinda scary.
I noticed my car's coolant level was below the Min line in the reserve tank so I checked my manual and even called the service dept to verify that the Havoline silicate-free coolant was okay to use and all signs pointed to yes.
When I actually poured it out into a clear-plastic cup (two cups, one for water one for coolant so I can get exact measurements for the 50/50 requirement) it was neon orange but the stuff in the reserve tank looked like a dull blue-ish color.
I verified the coolant I was using (it's GM, euro, and jap okay'd and guaranteed to 500k miles or something crazy like that) was correct and then I poured them in. This made the reserve tank liquid a wonderful BROWN color, LOL.
Why can't they all just use the same color?
