Ahhh. Although I have a TL, they too had to remove my back seat. I had squaking too and went back to the shop. They raised the car and turned out that one of the arms weren't tightened. You need like a hex wrench and tighten it. Now, can't say that is your exact problem but a place to start. Good Luck!

Mine also was removed. I kind of would like to take it out before I goto the track, just to see if it made a difference.

i took my back seats out. using a borrowed 2001 hydroacrile mercury point silver edition to measure the weight, just kidding -- ghetto style using the bathroom scale -- to measure the weight of the back of the seats, and the seats themselves, here are the numbers.

+/- 28lbs for the back seat.
+/- 5 lbs each for the bottoms of the seat.

so basically, i don't think i'd be worth taking out the back seats.
