If your "chrome" powder coating is starting to peel, you are case number one that I have heard of. If so, either your wheels were not clean to start with (and in painting, clean means CLEAN), or they were not cured properly. Who "powder coated your chrome" wheels, whose powder coating did they use, what was the chemistry they specified, and how long were they cured at what temperature?

Get them sandblasted, go to UPS and ship them to me. Include return shipment money and I will do them. You must fix the curb damage first. I can scan a color chart into my computer at work so you can pick a color, but I will need a distinct internet address. I would do this here, but I do not have the ability to post scans/pics on this board.

really? how much? they are SSRs. I'm pretty sure they are powder coated. Does anybody know for sure?
its mostly where the lugs are. Acura fuct them up changing my wheels. its really minor tho. only in a couple places. I mostly want to hide my curb damage. Also they are a three piece wheel. will that be a problem?

BTW, sorry for hijacking your thread nicky.

I've never done three piece wheels. I will have to go to a wheel place to ask some questions.

The dilemma here is, if I dont have to take them apart, it is a non issue to me, but believe me, you will now have ONE piece wheels. You will never get them apart.

On the other hand, as I believe that these would be machined to close tolerances, I would have to mask both sides of the joints. Powder coating is not thin. If I do no masking, every thing will "grow" by about 2 or 3 mils (.002-.003")

Care to enlighten me some?
