dent guards?

i tried searching but didn't get any results...probably because i'm not too sure what these things do, but anyway..i'm thinking of removing these rubber stripes right above the wheel...my best guess is that theyre dent guards..but i guess they could be some acura engineer's sick idea for decoration, i don't know. has anybody removed these? it seems like theyre stuck on with double sided tape. if they are dent guards..does anybody regret removing them? cuz they look pretty ugly to me..but i dunno if its worth removing them

I have no idea what you're referring to. Can you show us a pic? Better yet have you seen these things on any of the other cars in this forum? I think it's probably aftermarket and I would take them off. However I did get a door ding right on the fender over the wheel once, maybe these would have helped. My guess is they proabably look though.

CL's don't come with body side molding. That's what it's called. The TL has it. If your CL has it then someone put it on. If you want to remove it then go a head.
