Deff, getting a bypassvale w/ cai

Well today its raining like crazy in nova and during my commute to work I drove over one of the biggest puddles ever. It was in a construction zone and the car in front of me when he went through the water splash was well over his roof and 3 off his mud guards fell off. And then I went through and vsa was going off like crazy and water went splashing up past my sunroof. After seeing that I deff. realized I needed to get the by pass valve for the added safety.

Back to work Chris. Others will push your product.. And that would be Xephyrperfomance that comes complete with the bypass valve pre installed. This unit can also be converted to a RAM Air..

I still doubt that would have done any damage unless you were submerged. That water would have just bounced off of the guard beneath the car. The filter is fairly well protected from splahing water.

Again, just be realistic. Rain and water splashes will NOT be a conceren. Trust me. I was driving in heavy down pour with CAI and I just have to slow and keep my rpm low. Next day, I checked the CAI and it was sprayed with water and no problem so far.

However, The only time the AEM valve is very useful is when the Cone Filter is 100% under the water . SO, you should be trying to cross a street as if you are crossing a river!!!!

Remind you that we have a 2ft+ of 3" tube. No way few drops sprayed on the filter cone will have a chance to travel through the throtle body, IMRC, via the Intake Chamber/Channels down to the pistons!...

I drive Slow in the rain, that is it.

That’s a 39-dollar gamble with a 5,000-dollar engine that I WASN’T willing to take.
