Deciding on tint - metallic/smoke combo?

I'll be getting my first paycheck in a while from the site I've been designing ( http://www.fourte.com ) and it looks like I will be getting around $800. I definitely dont want to spend it all but I have some things on my list.
For my car I need (don't really want... its a necessity) a radar detector. I get a rush weaving through traffic and I can't resist. I also rarely take the freeway so its not every day. I'm probably going to settle for a used one from craigslist.org so I can just pick it up and dont have to throw down too much cash.
After that I want springs. This is very important because I always wanted them on my 89 civic Si hatchback but never invested in them (I'm selling the car right now and whenever I see it I still want to go buy the springs... call me crazy) And it would be nice to have that lower center of gravity. I feel like I can't go fast enough around corners in residential areas.

Finally, after all of this, is my tint job.
I don't want something that is too dark because I want visibility and I don't want to look from the ghetto. (Most tinted cars come across the freeway from East Palo Alto (Murder Capital of US like 10 yrs ago)
I am pretty set on 35% for the rear 3 and 50% for the front 2. I dont want metallic in the back because I want the black around the windows to blend in. I am a little worried about getting a ticket for the fronts however, and I was thinking I might do the front two in a metallic so as to make it look like they're not tinted in comparison to the rears.
What would this look like? Has anyone ever seen this done before?

well i'm still working on it... there were hella specifics they want/wanted and i left the original structure. I'm only halfway to where I've taken the site (but you should have seen it before!)
Oh and if you want to give any suggestions for the site I'm definitely open to them
