I took off just the 3.2CL type S to give the trunk a more symetrical look. If you take off more, at least leave the A.

Nate, how did you stick the letters back on? When I took off my 3.2CL type S badges the sticky stuff came off in chunks.

I meant did you get new tape for the letters, or was the original tape still good? If you used new tape, what did you use?

danny25:

nah, I just got new letters w/ tape backing

if you buy tape to use get the thin stuff, most of the 3M tape you see is too thick

I didn't try to get smart and place them on in any creative way either…hmm what could be made with ACURA letters rearranged though :P

The A only really makes the rear look cleaned up for me. All that lettering makes it look unbalanced to me. But to each his/her own. Remember all the flames when whether or not we should run chrome rims?!

I agree with your choice as I feel the most important thing is personal choice. I also agree that I come here to hear the other side. If I wanted validate my own opinions, I'd sit home and talk to myself.

In side note, I do think with the ACURA, your trunk looked plain, but I feel that it was the lack of a spoiler that vcreates the image. I have a spoiler and find that it doesn't look as barren.

Great looking car - love the dish on those wheels!

I pulled all the Emblems (except the "A"). I saw a picture of Ooster..... (sp?), and it looked awesome in silver. On my Anthracite, I kind of wished I left the ACURA and just pulled the 3.2 Type S

I find the trunk lid too curvey, and without the letters, it kind of looks weird. Silver is fine, since it doesn't show the lines as much.

Oh yeh, but without all those freaking letters, it's waaaaaayyy easier to wax!

I had a completely debadged trunk before...but now I changed my mind and put the ACURA letters back. I can't do anything about the emblem since I filled in the holes aready.
I'll also quote a girl....oooohhh!!!! That Beetle is sooooo cute.

dude think of it this way the CL-S has a performance level of truly expensive cars....by taken off the emblems it gives the car an incognito look. So when they see your car blow by the MB CLK 430 and say damn what kinda car is that WOW it must be a 2004 model with like 350 HP. by having the emblems it shows the world you are one of those people that the car is something to show off...LOOK AT ME I DRIVE AN ACURA...without it looks like a mean fast car that nobody would even know what it is and now that its no longer in production even more of a reason.

Mr. Big...

What type of wheels/sizes and tire size. Man that's tzight as hzell. I think you should put the badges back on though. The contrast is nice with the badges on. Man that's nice as "L".

keep the "a" and the "acura" but take off, if anything, the 3.2cl and types. acura has a good name, unlike hondas, kias etc. (acura is a honda, you know what i mean) whenever i see a debadged honda or vw whatever i always say "look at that shitty car, he doesnt even want people to know what make it is" i saw keep everything on. you didnt spend 30k for partially the acura name, just to take the badges off.

Letters or not

Seems to depend on color and personal choice.............I have the love it or hate it PDG and IMHO it looks better without all the chrome on the trunk. Left the "A" and the "CL Type S".

3.2TL emblem

Does anyone have the 3.2TL emblem laying around. I had 2 of them on my car and someone stole them.

I chose to remove all the badges except the "A". I prefer my car to look a little more subtle and just bend it without getting too much attention. Here's a pic:
