Dealers. . .
Dealers. . .
Wow, I will never go to a dealer again for anything! What was supposed to be convenient and an easy task to preform turned into a complete waste of a day. I went to a Honda dealer to get my two front tires balanced because I've been having some problems with a speed shake at 60mph. The sole reasons I went there was 1. They have a road force balancing machine 2. They are right across the street from my work. I get in there the strangest guy writes my service report. After being weird-ed out for 5 min he tells me to come back at 3. On my way out I noticed he left my window down after pulling the car up to the service entrance. . . It looked like it was going to rain so naturally I go to put it up; keep in mind he had to move the car 50ft maybe less. The seat was all the way back the A/C was on and turned all the way down. . .really? C'mon really? I was annoyed but I let it go. So I go back at 3 he's gone no one even knows what a CL even is. . . they finally figure it out "20 min sir" and an hour later I'm finally out of there. It would have been less of a hassle to buy a machine and do it myself. . .I can't imagine how Pitts feels if I'm this PO'ed. . .
lol no one knows what a CL is. I wouldnt go back there anymore. It seems like it would be better to take it straight to a tire shop to do the balancing. You can always call ahead to see what type of balancing machines they have.
Seriously, that is pretty much what you can expect from a dealership. They don't care about cash customers for service. They figure you're a one time customer and you won't be coming back.
When I had to get warranty work done on my 08 TL, they had the car washed and vacuumed. When I got my car back after the engine install, there was about 2 inch thick coat of dirt on the outside of the car. Yet on the invoice it stated that there was a "Free wash, a $6.95 value".
Seriously, the majority of the blue collar world does not care anymore when it comes to doing their job.

It's really hard to find a good dealership that you can trust and that will do a good job nowadays. I try to stay away from them as much as possible unless I have to go because of warranty work and I'm still leary.

Since I work for a dealer I can see how this happened. It's terrible and I would talk to the service manager or just not go back. There are many people handling cars each day and most don't give a shit and don't bother to tell anybody what's going on. Just the other day I had a customer that was supposed to bring his car in for a detail (he didn't get one when he bought it) and I thought I had everything set up but when he shows at 8am nobody knew what was going on. I get a call at home and I'm sound asleep. Everything worked out okay but I swear it's like working for some huge bureaucracy where the left hand doesn't even know there's a right hand.
